About Us
Gatsby Glass is a growing Oklahoma City glass company specializing in high-end custom residential glasswork. Our projects include frameless and custom showers, wine rooms, mirrors, glass railings, oversized and specialty glass, and other architectural glass installations.
We are looking for an experienced Lead Residential Glass Installer who takes genuine pride in craftsmanship and wants to be part of a company where quality—not simply speed—is the standard.
This is an opportunity for an experienced installer to take ownership of projects from the jobsite through completion while working in some of the finest homes in the Oklahoma City area.
The Role
As a Lead Residential Glass Installer, you will be responsible for the successful installation and completion of custom residential glass projects. You will work independently on many installations and will lead or work alongside other installers and helpers as needed.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Installing high-end custom frameless and framed shower enclosures
- Installing custom mirrors and specialty mirrors
- Installing glass wine rooms, doors and enclosures
- Installing glass railings, guards and other architectural glass
- Installing large, heavy and specialty glass pieces
- Performing accurate field measurements and evaluating jobsite conditions
- Reviewing plans and drawings and identifying potential installation issues before they become problems
- Working with tile, stone, cabinetry, millwork and other finished surfaces
- Setting, leveling, aligning and securing glass and hardware with exceptional precision
- Applying professional-quality silicone and sealants
- Safely handling and transporting large and heavy pieces of glass
- Protecting finished surfaces, flooring and furnishings while working in high-end homes
- Communicating professionally with homeowners, builders, designers and other trades
- Training and mentoring less-experienced installers and helpers
- Maintaining a clean, organized and professional jobsite and vehicle
- Identifying and communicating material, measurement or fabrication issues before installation whenever possible
- Taking ownership of the finished installation and resolving field issues professionally
What We're Looking For
Our ideal candidate is an experienced residential glass craftsman, not simply someone who has worked around glass.
You should have:
- 5 years of professional glass installation experience, preferably with significant residential experience
- Extensive experience installing frameless shower enclosures
- Strong knowledge of shower hardware, hinges, clamps, channels and installation techniques
- Experience with custom mirrors and specialty glass
- Experience with architectural glass, railings or similar specialty installations
- Excellent field-measuring and layout skills
- The ability to recognize and solve difficult jobsite conditions
- The ability to read architectural drawings and installation plans
- Strong attention to detail and pride in finished workmanship
- The ability to work independently without constant supervision
- The ability to lead a helper or another installer
- Professional communication skills and a customer-service mindset
- A clean, professional appearance and the ability to represent our company well in high-end homes
- A valid driver's license and good driving record
- The physical ability to safely handle large and heavy pieces of glass

The right person understands that high-end residential glass installation requires more than knowing how to install glass. It requires judgment, precision, problem-solving, patience and an understanding of how glass interacts with tile, stone, cabinetry, walls and other finished surfaces.
