What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Supervisor position at Gator Waders?
Perform various warehouse supervisory functions for a fast-growing, dynamic e-commerce business, including receiving and maintaining appropriate warehouse stock and supply levels, shipping and distributing, training, management and cultivation of warehouse staff of 5 to 10 people, regular and dynamic reporting to immediate supervisor as well as upper management.
Job Duties:
- Oversee daily shipping operations as well as receiving and unloading periodic freight containers, and checking in inventory
- Develop and maintain current and projected warehouse layouts to accommodate for varying inventory levels and demand
- Develop and maintain systems for monitoring general shipping performance as well as that of individual team members and regularly communicate results to immediate supervisors and upper management
- Develop and maintain proper inventory controls including systems for regular cycle counts, audits, and overall inventory accuracy
- Develop programs and procedures for the proper training and education of new recruits
- Maintain a safe, clean and organized work environment
Requirements:
- Positive attitude with an emphasis on problem solving and organization
- Impeccable work ethic
- Warehouse and/or logistics experience preferred
- Basic computer literacy including Microsoft Office software, Inventory Management software, and Shipping/Logistics software
- Must be willing to work overtime and weekends if needed
- Ability to lift 50 lbs without difficulty
- Ability to work on feet all day
- Active driver's license
- Personal reliable transportation
- Experience (or willingness to learn) hauling a loaded cargo or utility trailer
- Must be able to pass a nationwide background check and drug test.
