Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using schematics, automotive electrical systems, and specialized tools to identify mechanical issues in heavy trucks and equipment.
- Conduct repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, suspension systems, brakes, shocks & struts, hydraulics, HVAC systems, and other vehicle systems with precision.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques to assemble parts or modify components as needed.
- Maintain and repair heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, farm machinery, and industrial equipment to ensure operational readiness.
- Conduct routine maintenance including tire service, wheel alignments, fluid changes, air brake adjustments, and vehicle inspections for safety compliance.
- Interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical or electrical issues efficiently.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating repair needs clearly and ensuring timely completion of work orders.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Heavy Truck Diesel Mechanic or similar role with dealership experience preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems, suspension components, and vehicle maintenance procedures.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic software specific to heavy equipment operation.
- Ability to read schematics accurately and troubleshoot automotive electrical systems effectively.
- Certification or training in automotive diagnostics or heavy equipment mechanics is advantageous.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail; able to perform heavy lifting safely.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and provide exceptional customer service.
- Prefer a candidate with a CDL for test driving trucks.

Pay: From $30.00 per hour
