About The Position
This role is responsible for assisting in the inventory planning process within the GCI Outdoor business, which includes consolidating weekly point of sale data to determine an unconstrained unit-based demand plan by retailer. Will also be responsible for containerizing direct import shipments from Asia to customers and domestic warehouses.

About The Position
This role is responsible for assisting in the inventory planning process within the GCI Outdoor business, which includes consolidating weekly point of sale data to determine an unconstrained unit-based demand plan by retailer. Will also be responsible for containerizing direct import shipments from Asia to customers and domestic warehouses.
Essential Job Functions
- Consolidate weekly point of sale data by retailer, which will be the foundation for understanding key customer demand forecasts
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop and maintain a rolling 12-18 month forecast, establishing the baseline for operational and financial planning.
- Drive demand forecast improvements by measuring forecast accuracy, incorporating learnings into the demand forecast.
- Facilitate the process to mitigate slow-moving and obsolete inventory by partnering with sales to identify potential revenue opportunities
- Create reports from system-generated data to support problem solving as needed.
- Influence others and drive results within the organization without having direct reporting authority.
- Develop and document standard work that drives repeatable results for the planning process.
- Identify and create new methodologies, as needed, to improve the planning process and results.
- Drive continuous improvement by analyzing current processes and implementing new forecasting methodologies, tools, and techniques to reduce effort and improve results.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Statistics, Economics or Engineering
- Desire 2-4 years business experience in Demand Planning in a demand driven organization with exposure to Supply Chain, Sales, Marketing
- Experience in a Demand Planning or Sales & Operations planning process
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience using data management/analytics software
- Strong analytical skills
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional business partners to drive business results
- Experience analyzing data and making recommendations
- Strong communication skills

- Must be able to communicate effectively with team members, candidates and external partners through multiple forms of technology with telephone and computer. Must be able to receive and convey information.
- he person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, meeting rooms, copier/printer etc. as well as could remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
- Must be able to safely navigate the production facility, OSHA compliant. Normally this person is standing or walking around the facility interacting with team members. Appropriate shoes for standing on concrete flooring is recommended.
