Position Summary The Project Manager, Team Development serves as a key partner to the Executive Director of Team Success, advancing Gateway Church's commitment to a healthy, equipped, and unified staff culture. Approximately 70 percent of the role executes team development programs, projects, and training experiences. The remaining 30 percent provides direct operational support to the Executive Director. Key Responsibilities Team Development (70 percent) Project manage the team development roadmap set by the Executive Director, including timelines, milestones, deliverables, and stakeholders. Coordinate and deliver leadership development programs, cohorts, and training experiences for staff at all levels. Build and deliver learning content, including facilitator guides, participant materials, eLearning, and supporting resources. Recruit, train, and coordinate volunteer teams that extend the reach of the team development function. Maintain systems and workflows for onboarding, growth planning, manager development, and team health touchpoints. Partner with HR, department leaders, and ministry leads to identify development needs and translate them into actionable project plans. Track engagement, completion, and impact metrics across development efforts and report results to the Executive Director. Manage vendor relationships, tools, and platforms that support team development. Network with peers at other local churches and ministries to bring best practices into Gateway. Executive Support (30 percent) Manage calendar, scheduling, meeting prep, agendas, follow-ups, and travel for the Executive Director. Triage communications and draft correspondence with professionalism and discretion. Coordinate logistics for leadership meetings, offsites, and key Team Success initiatives. Track action items across the Team Success portfolio to ensure timely execution. Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive staff and organizational matters. Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in organizational development, HR, learning and development, ministry, or related field. Three or more years of experience in learning and development, training, instructional design, or related work. Demonstrated project management skills, including planning, coordination, and follow-through across multiple workstreams. Experience building or delivering training content (curriculum, facilitator guides, eLearning, or workshops). Experience recruiting, training, and coordinating volunteer teams. Experience providing executive-level support or operational partnership to a senior leader. Strong communication skills, high organization, and discretion with confidential matters. Alignment with the mission, vision, and team values of Gateway Church. Preferred Active connections within the local church community, with the ability to network across ministries. Experience in a large church, ministry, or mission-driven organization. Coaching certification or training in adult learning, facilitation, or instructional design. Familiarity with assessment tools such as StrengthsFinder, DISC, Working Genius, or Enneagram. Proficiency with project management and L&D tools (Asana, Monday, LMS platforms, Articulate, or similar).
