Job Title: Part-Time Cleaner / Custodian

Position Overview:
The Part-Time Cleaner is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for visitors and staff at a tourism visitor center. This role plays a key part in ensuring a positive first impression for guests by upholding high standards of cleanliness throughout the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize public areas, including restrooms, entryways, and visitor spaces
- Empty trash and recycling bins and dispose of waste properly
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors
- Restock restroom and facility supplies (paper products, soap, etc.)
- Clean windows, counters, displays, and high-touch surfaces
- Report maintenance or repair issues to management
- Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines
Qualifications:
- Previous cleaning or custodial experience preferred but not required
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
- Reliable and punctual
- Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
- Comfortable performing repetitive tasks
Work Schedule:
- Part-time hours (flexible schedule may include evenings, weekends, and holidays)
- Seasonal fluctuations based on visitor traffic
Work Environment:
- Public-facing facility with high visitor traffic during peak tourism season
- Indoor work with occasional exposure to outdoor entry areas
