Gateway to Innovation Student Work-Study Program: Front Office Support

Description: Student will work alongside G2i teachers and staff to support the development of early makerspace and project-based learning systems.
This position will serve as a receptionist and front-office support worker. Job responsibilities will assist with welcoming visitors, answering basic questions, organizing materials, supporting communication, preparing office systems, and helping maintain a professional front-office environment during the transition into G2i.
An ideal candidate for this position would have strong communication skills, be organized and detail-oriented, and have a strong customer service mindset. This position will provide students with authentic workplace experience in communication, organization, teamwork, problem-solving, customer service, technology support, project preparation, and hands-on building setup.
Budget/Hours per day/week:
Hourly rate: $9.00 per hour. Hours may vary based on school needs and student availability, with students working up to 8 hours per day as allowed by the SWS program.
Requirements:
- SDPC student at least 16 years old
- Teacher recommendation
- Checking account
- TB Test
Background Check Includes National Sex Offender database and SLED, if applicable.
