Duties
- Prepare a variety of sandwiches and related food items according to established recipes and customer preferences, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems such as Square for order processing, cash handling, and sales transactions.
- Manage food handling responsibilities by maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and proper food storage practices in compliance with safety regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, answering questions about menu items, upselling additional products, and ensuring a positive dining experience.
- Assist with food prep tasks such as slicing ingredients, assembling sandwiches, and restocking supplies to keep the station well-organized.
- Maintain a clean work environment by bussing tables, cleaning workstations, and adhering to sanitation standards throughout your shift.
- Support team members with cashiering duties, basic math calculations for cash transactions, and managing quick service demands during busy hours.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food preparation or working in a quick service or fast food restaurant is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is essential!
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus.
- Strong understanding of food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours.
- Ability to communicate clearly with team members and customers to ensure smooth operations.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, sales transactions, and inventory management.
- Experience in customer service roles within the food industry or retail environments is highly desirable.
