About the Role
Reporting to the Operations Maintenance Manager, you’ll be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing crematory equipment and facility systems across multiple locations. This is a dynamic, travel-heavy role where your expertise ensures operational excellence, safety, and reliability.
What You’ll Do
- Inspect, test, and troubleshoot crematory machinery and building systems
- Diagnose issues and perform preventative maintenance and repairs
- Repair or replace worn components before breakdowns occur
- Use diagnostic tools, power tools, and hand tools to complete repairs
- Interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and blueprints to plan work
- Maintain accurate service reports and documentation
- Order parts and supplies as needed
- Provide recommendations to improve equipment performance and reliability
- Train on-site staff on basic maintenance and efficient machine operation
- Support general facility maintenance including electrical, HVAC, and basic carpentry
What You Bring
- High School Diploma, G.E.D., or trade/technical certification
- Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience (HVAC, controls, PLCs, refractory, or similar)
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel up to 80%
- Experience reading electrical schematics and using diagnostic tools (preferred)
- Working knowledge of general building maintenance and repairs
