This is a remote position.
Our client is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to manage day-to-day general ledger operations, monthly closes, and account reconciliations. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, 3 years of experience, advanced Excel skills, and a strong grasp of GAAP to support financial reporting and upcoming system transitions.
Responsibilities
- Manage accounts payable, receivables, and expense reports
- Maintain general ledger entries, accruals, and prepaids
- Handle revenue schedules and invoice classifications
- Execute monthly balance sheet reconciliations and close tasks
- Perform variance analysis, budgeting, and forecasting support
- Assist with annual external audits and ad-hoc reports
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 3 years of professional accounting experience
- Advanced Excel proficiency (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, SUMIFS)
- Solid understanding of GAAP and general accounting practices
- Excellent organization and communication skills
- CPA certification a plus
- Experience with mid-market ERP systems or popular cloud accounting tools
- Familiarity with CRM or automated billing platforms
