What are the responsibilities and job description for the Theater Technician - Chesterfield YMCA position at GATEWAY REGION YMCA?
- Actively Promote theatre safety and policies
- Build and repair props and sets as needed
- Build and paint sets and props as needed for Y-rep shows and client rental functions
- Supervise and assist clients during scheduled periodic rentals
- Will operate sound and lighting equipment as needed and assist the client in any other aspects of production.
- Will arrive prior to client arrival to insure the facility is unlocked and needed equipment is set up and ready for use
- Supervise volunteer crew of all ages during set builds and work calls
- Keep backstage and storage areas clean
- Set up and tear down and move sets and props as needed for daily theatre operations
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment as needed.
- Positively interact with members, staff and volunteers.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
