Job Summary
Position Overview The Student Support Coordinator is a key member of the student support team responsible for advancing a safe, inclusive, and academically focused school culture where all students experience belonging, accountability, and high expectations. This role leads and coordinates tiered student support systems (MTSS for behavior), restorative practices, and PBIS implementation in partnership with the Assistant Principal/Culture Lead and Student Support Team. The Coordinator serves as a visible and relational leader on campus, working closely with students, families, and staff to strengthen community, resolve conflict, and promote student growth. Qualifications: Commitment to Gateway’s unique educational mission and to equitable outcomes for all students Commitment to working with students from diverse backgrounds and learning profiles Ability to work collaboratively with a dedicated staff and involved parent body Strong organizational and communication skills; interpersonal skills with students and families At least 2-3 years experience working with middle school students in an urban school preferred Prior experience in a relevant role preferred Bilingual candidates and BIPOC candidates are strongly encouraged to apply BA or BS degree
