What are the responsibilities and job description for the Substitute Bus Driver position at Gateway Preparatory Academy?
Gateway Preparatory Academy is seeking a bus driver to provide transportation to our students from and to school and other school-day activities. Transportation will also be needed for occasional educational field trips.
Essential Duties Include the Following:
1. Safely operate school buses on scheduled routes and/or on all types of trips in support of school-approved activities, in accordance with state and local laws as well as Gateway student transport policies.
2. Service, inspect, and clean school buses and related equipment as required by state and Gateway policies.
3. Maintain control of transportation climate, including the behavior of student passengers to ensure safety.
4. Report unsafe behavior by student passengers or parents to Gateway Administration.
5. Complete all state and school-required forms in a timely manner.
6. Successfully complete Gateway's school bus driver training.
Qualifications
Must have a State of Utah valid CDL license.
Minimum age 21.
Two years of driving experience preferred.
Random drug tests are required.
Candidates must possess the ability to communicate effectively verbally and socially.
Must possess the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff, parents, and the community.

Pay: $22.73 - $24.23 per hour
