Preschool and Toddler Assistant Teacher
Gateway Montessori School – Birmingham, MI
Gateway Montessori School is currently seeking a full-time Assistant Teacher to join our dedicated team of educators. We are looking for a teacher to help us fill our need from the hours of 10:00AM to 6:00 PM Monday-Friday.

About Us
Founded in 1970, Gateway Montessori is a non-profit, non-denominational school serving approximately
86 children from 3 months to 6 years old. All of our current classrooms are led by AMS Montessori-trained directresses.
Position Overview
We are looking for a warm, attentive, and reliable educator who enjoys working with toddlers and preschoolers
in a nurturing, child-centered environment. The Assistant Teacher will support the developmental needs
of toddlers and preschoolers in a calm and engaging atmosphere, providing continuity and care after the regular school day.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- Prior experience working with toddlers in a Montessori or early childhood setting
- A solid understanding of Montessori philosophy (or willingness to learn—we provide training!)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- A collaborative and flexible approach to working with a team
