What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at Gateway Maintenance?
Job Summary
Work consists of misc repairs in commercial buildings. Experience in any or all of these fields is needed. (Painting, Flooring, Drywall, Plumbing, Electrical, Stucco, block, carpentry, etc.) Jobs consist of many small work orders daily to large projects with multiple people. Those applying for this position with little or no experience in construction will not be considered. Company Van is provided with valid drivers license. Company Phone is also provided. Jobs are done both day and night and weekends. The majority of the work is during normal hours of 6 am to 6 pm. Night work and weekend work are compensated at time and a half regardless of how many hours you have for the week. Jobs tasks vary from day to day.
Responsibilities and Duties
A typical day consists of checking in with dispatch and going to your first job. Completing repairs as needed or obtaining information to create a bid. Pictures will need to be taken at every job. Sign offs from managers will need to be obtained from every job. Emails will need to be sent into the office and then you will be dispatched to your next job.
Qualifications and Skills
Need to have construction experience and the more fields you have experience in will help determine your compensation.
