Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and skilled Hotel Maintenance Technician to join our team in Manteca, CA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the hotel's facilities, guest rooms, and grounds to ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for guests and team members. This position requires strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to respond promptly to maintenance requests.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.
- Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems, Electrolux washer/dryer, plumbing fixtures, electrical systems, appliances, and equipment.
- Complete preventative maintenance programs according to company standards.
- Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests and emergency situations.
- Repair and replace light fixtures, locks, doors, faucets, toilets, drywall, paint, flooring, and furniture as needed.
- Monitor and maintain swimming pool and spa equipment.
- Conduct regular property inspections to identify maintenance and safety concerns.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, building codes, and company policies.
- Maintain maintenance logs, work orders, and inventory records.
- Assist with landscaping, parking lot upkeep, and general property appearance.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors when necessary.
- Participate in on-call and after-hours emergency response as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 1-2 years of maintenance experience preferred; hotel or hospitality experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general building maintenance.
- Ability to safely operate hand and power tools.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Comfortable working in mechanical rooms, rooftops, and confined spaces when necessary.
Schedule
- Full-time position.
- Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings.
- On-call availability may be required for emergency maintenance issues.
