Gateway Fiber is seeking an OSP Construction Coordinator to facilitate and monitor fiber optic network operations processes, systems, and projects in an outside plant environment. As part of the larger Network Deployment team, this role sits at the juncture of outside plant operations, engineering, and construction. The OSP Construction Coordinator will frequently direct peers in engineering and construction activities to ensure schedule and budget performance.

Gateway Fiber is seeking an OSP Construction Coordinator to facilitate and monitor fiber optic network operations processes, systems, and projects in an outside plant environment. The OSP Construction Coordinator will frequently direct peers in engineering and construction activities to ensure schedule and budget performance.
- Project management of planned maintenance projects,
- Review and dispatch of potential network threats for team resolution,
- Compliance with ongoing right-of-way obligations,
- Coordination of communications and record-keeping for emergency network repairs
- Process design, refinement, and documentation to improve efficiency
- Communication with municipal, private, and other right-of-way authorities
- Collaboration with peer teams (Procurement, Accounting, Marketing) in conference calls and via email to achieve complex goals and improve customer experience
- Collection and evaluation of project financial data to support Management efforts and drive efficiency
The successful candidate will bring the following to the table:
Basic
- 2 years’ OSP construction and/or operations exposure, preferably in a fiber optic network setting
- 2 years’ experience administering enterprise database systems
- Strong computer skills and deep knowledge of MS Office suite
- Familiarity with contracts review, interpretation, and administration
- Deep knowledge of fiber optic engineering, construction, and splicing
- Experience with SiteTracker
- Knowledge of issues pertaining to utilities occupying various rights-of-way
- Experience with operating fiber network (customer traffic management, fiber optics properties, etc)
- Familiarity with GIS platforms such as ESRI and reading GIS-based construction plans
