Position Overview:
Gateway Fiber is seeking an outstanding individual to join our finance team as Corporate Development Associate. Gateway is creating a leading, national fiber-to-the-home platform. With the support of its financial sponsor CBRE Investment Management, Gateway plans to reach 500,000 homes and businesses with its service over the next several years. This role will be joining a team that brings decades of experience in deploying telecommunications infrastructure and that has built Gateway into one of the leading fiber-to-the-home platforms nationwide.
The ideal candidate should be an experienced, highly organized, self-starter with a track record of thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The role will support the CFO / VP - FPA / VP - Corporate Controller in key functions of project finance, capital allocation, M&A due diligence, and financial reporting.
This role is critical to maintaining the financial health of our growing organization, with a focus on optimizing liquidity, managing risks, and supporting strategic financial initiatives.

Position Expected Outcomes:
- Support the company’s capital allocation strategy, which includes the preparation of underwriting of development projects.
- Prepare investment memos and presentations for internal stakeholders and investors.
- Support in screening acquisition targets and managing Gateway’s M&A pipeline.
- Support in M&A due diligence and integration planning for potential acquisitions.
- Collaborate with leadership to define corporate strategy and growth initiatives.
- Assist in preparing board materials, investor updates, and presentations.
- Support capital markets activities, which includes raising and managing equity and debt capital.
- Support financial business planning, including strategic plans, annual budgeting and operating plans, business analyses, forecasting, and reporting.
- Report key performance indicators, budget versus actual reporting, and other analysis. Make recommendations on improvement opportunities.
Candidate Requirements:
- Strong people skills, good leadership mentality, and team contributor.
- 2 – 5 years’ experience in corporate finance, private equity, strategy consulting, or related fields.
- Experience in digital infrastructure, fiber broadband or telecommunications is preferred.
- Experience with portfolio companies owned by private equity/ institutional investor is preferred.
- Undergraduate degree is a must; MBA preferred.
