Job Title: Elementary Specialist
Reports To: Bremerton Elementary Principal
Job Overview: Crosspoint Christian School is looking for an Elementary Specialist Computer Teacher who is a committed follower of Jesus, called to Christian education and has experience integrating faith and learning in the classroom.
On the Bremerton campus, this K-5th Grade position will introduce students to fundamental computer skills providing instruction and support to students in using computer technology and maintaining computer labs.
As a member of the Gateway OneTeam, you will support and demonstrate an understanding of the church’s mission: living the Jesus-centered mission. Possessing a character that reflects biblical godliness, demonstrating a meaningful personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and active involvement in a local body of Christian believers are key qualifications.
Job Status: Part-time, 9-11 months
Expected Start Date: August 18, 2025 (2025-2026 School Year)
Exempt Status: Non-exempt
Salary Range: $18-$25/hr, 6 hrs/wk

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Planning and Teaching:
- Plan and deliver lessons on basic computer skills, keyboarding, and technology literacy.
- Provide technical assistance to students and teachers regarding hardware and software.
- Troubleshoot basic computer issues.
- Create and maintain lesson plans and activities that align with educational standards.
Grading:
- Utilize Renweb for inputting all assignments, tests, quizzes, and projects in a timely manner, using the grading scale provided by the school.
- Keeps an accurate record of all grades for each student.
- Uses Microsoft TEAMS Assignments for documenting all homework assignments and for communication with students.
Classroom Management:
- Keeps an accurate record of all attendance and tardiness for each student.
- Maintains discipline in the classroom to ensure maximum learning.
- Always keep an emergency lesson plan and a current substitute folder in case of an unexpected absence.
- Maintains the computer lab in a clean, organized, and functional state.
- Ensure the proper functioning of hardware and software.
- Manage and organize computer lab schedules.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Communication:
- Communicates with parents on an “as needed” basis regarding their student’s academic or behavioral status in the class.
- Returns phone calls and emails within 24 hours.
- Keeps an accurate record of all communications with parents.
- Advises the administration as soon as plans to be away from the classroom are being considered.
Education Level:
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required.
