About the Role
Our Quality Control Technicians help ensure every aluminum extrusion leaving Gateway meets the customer’s exact specifications. You’ll inspect material, verify dimensions, document findings, and work closely with production teams to maintain quality, accuracy, and compliance. If you’re detail-oriented and take pride in doing things right, QC is where you shine.

Available Shifts
1st Shift QC:
- Monday–Thursday: 6:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Friday: 6:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
2nd Shift QC:
- Monday–Thursday: 4:00 p.m. – 2:00 a.m.

Friday: 2:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
Both shifts currently operate a 48-hour workweek, which means:
- 8 hours of automatic overtime every week (hello, holiday cash!)

Overtime expected to ease after the holidays, returning to a standard 40-hour week, still with weekends off.
What You’ll Do:
- Inspect aluminum extrusions for scratches, dents, twists, and other defects.
- Use measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, tape measures) to confirm critical dimensions.
- Document inspection results with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Verify routing tags, part counts, and customer-specific requirements.
- Communicate quality issues to leads, supervisors, and production operators.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
- Support continuous improvement efforts across departments.
What You Bring:
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Ability to use measuring tools or willingness to learn.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Basic math and computer skills.
- Reliable attendance and a team-oriented mindset. Experience in quality, inspection, or manufacturing is a plus, but training is available.
