Summary/Objective
The Facilitator supports customers’ achievement of their goals in parenting, relationships, and/or economic security.

Essential Functions

● Recruits program participants from community and faith based partners
● Assists in marketing activities
● Conducts workshops and training sessions using prescribed curricula
● Secures community venues for program activities
● Assists in producing resource materials
● Facilitates the administration of customer intake and evaluation
● Maintains participant files in compliance with agency PII policy and procedures
● Works collaboratively with community agencies to receive and refer customers
● Collaborates with Case Manager to support customer needs
● Assists in planning and developing customer events
● Cross-train as a facilitator/case management in order to fill-in as needed.
● Transfer data from paper formats into computer files or database systems using keyboards, data recorders
or optical scanners
● Type in data provided directly from customers and works collaboratively with community agencies to collect exit surveys from customers who have dropped out of classes.

Work Environment
Work is normally performed in a typical interior office or classroom environment, with limited exposure to physical risk. Extended
periods of time sitting in front of the computer.

This position requires flexibility to support program and community needs, including occasional evening hours, use of virtual
platforms, and service delivery within alternative or reform school settings. Work locations and scheduling may vary based on
facility availability, county needs, and staff resources.

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to type; reach with
hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 50
pounds. Employees will be moving audiovisual equipment and curriculum materials into venues and setting up rooms. Specific
vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the
ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Regular days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Staff must be
willing to work some nights and weekends as required by program activities.

Travel
Travel is primarily within the five-county jurisdiction. However, out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected depending on
program requirements. Must be willing and available to participate in required and/or professional development opportunities.
When traveling by car, a company/program vehicle must be used when available. If a personal vehicle is used, mileage will be
reimbursed according to the agency policy.

Required Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent.  An understanding of generational poverty and low income populations.

Preferred Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in social work, education, communication, or related field. Any combination equivalent to experience and
education that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities to be qualifying.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications
Excellent computer skills (Internet, Google, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Use of Web Based Data Management Systems)

Additional Requirements
Valid Kentucky driver’s license, reliable transportation, and satisfactory background checks as required by the agency and
grant program requirements. Pass a pre-employment drug test and random drug testing as required. State required minimum
vehicle liability insurance and uninsured motorist insurance. Any/all other testing or applicable checks required by local, state,
or federal law.
