Gateway Autism Therapies and Education, Inc. is seeking a Behavior Technician (BT) to join our expanding team in Sheridan, WY. This position provides one-on-one Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) under the direct supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
Position Overview
The BT will implement individualized treatment plans designed to improve communication, social skills, and adaptive behavior. Services are delivered in home, school, and telehealth settings, requiring adaptability and professionalism in multiple environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct ABA therapy to children ages 3 to 16 following treatment protocols
- Collect and document data on client progress and behavioral interventions
- Collaborate with the supervising BCBA to adjust intervention strategies as needed
- Adhere to ethical guidelines and professional standards set by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)

Qualifications & Requirements
- One or more years of experience working with children with special needs (preferred)
- RBT certification preferred (training provided for non-certified candidates with a required one-year commitment)
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Special Education, or a related field (preferred)
- CPR/First Aid certification and Crisis Management training (or willingness to obtain)
- Successful completion of a criminal background check and reference check
- Access to a reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license
- Daily access to a cell phone and email for communication
- Access to a computer for online training and documentation
- Availability to attend meetings and required training sessions
- Flexible after-school schedule to accommodate client needs
- Prior experience working with children with autism and their families is highly desirable
- Strong observational, communication, and organizational skills
