Accompanist position in Gatesville ISD, which is just West of Waco. We have approximately 200 students in 7 ensembles grades 6-12, so we get the privilege of being our own feeder program. We are looking for a part-time piano accompanist for concerts and contests throughout the school year with availability to practice with choirs/soloists during classes, and after school as needed. Occasional weekend activities.
This position can be expanded to full time with responsibilities which may include: maintaining music library and music materials, fundraising record-keeping and deposits, making photocopies, handling bus requests and purchase orders as needed throughout the year. Auditorium management and/or Audio-Visual experience is a plus, but not required.
- Part-time and/or Full-time (with benefits) are available.
We are well-supported by our admin, our community and a healthy budget. Our Choir program has flourished in the past few years, growing to be the 3rd largest organization in the district, and achieving numerous accolades including:
- TMEA All-State Members & numerous Area Candidates
- UIL State Solo & Ensemble Gold Medalist & multiple Outstanding Performers at TSSEC
- Consistent UIL Sweepstakes/Superior performances
- Multiple Texas Music Scholars
