Role Description The Welder/Fabricator role at Gates & Sons, Inc. is a full-time, on-site position based in Denver, CO. This role involves using various welding techniques to assemble steel and metal parts according to drawings and specifications. Day-to-day tasks include reading and interpreting blueprints, measuring and cutting materials, performing accurate welds, and inspecting finished work for quality and safety standards. The Welder/Fabricator will maintain welding equipment, follow all safety procedures, collaborate with other production team members, and support continuous improvement of fabrication processes.
Qualifications
- Demonstrate a proficiency in MIG welding with .035, .045 and flux core welding wire. TIG welding would be a great advantage.
- Hands-on experience with a variety of materials and thicknesses.
- Knowledge of Materials used in metal fabrication, including properties, proper handling, and appropriate welding applications.
- Ability to read and interpret prints and work orders.
- Strong attention to detail, quality-focused mindset, and the ability to meet production deadlines.
- Commitment to safety, including proper use of PPE and adherence to shop safety protocols.
- Welding certifications are preferred.
- Must have experience with saws, grinders and brake set ups.
