Located in Atlanta, Georgiayou will be a Field Product Application Engineer! The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with strong mechanical and technical skills, capable of working independently and as part of a team.
- You'll be working with the Industrial Application Engineering team and reporting to the Application Engineer - Power Transmission Lead.
- This is an exciting opportunity for you because you will be working with customers on a variety of product applications primarily in our industrial markets.
- You will help troubleshoot issues that arise with customer products and help design and recommend solutions using Gates products.
- Providing engineering service to customers and clients in the proper application and selection of power transmission products
- Effectively present technical and product training material to internal and external customers
- Working cooperatively with North American Field Sales, Product Line Managers, and the Marketing Team to achieve organizational success
- Analyzing application requirements, providing failure analysis, selecting components, and making recommendations to meet system requirements
- Troubleshooting any questions customers pose via phone, email, and in-person. Building strong relationships is crucial to success in this role
- Bachelor's Degree, preferrable Mechanical, plus 3-5 years of engineering experience OR 5-10 years of progressive engineering experience, required.
- Eager to be hands on working with our customers, engineers, sales, and marketing teams!
- Engineering discipline with a focus on Mechanical and Power Transimission systems, preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to manage customer personalities effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal skills - coupled with the ability to maintain and generate product application literature, media, and technical articles.
- Ability to travel to customers, plants and conferences as required (minimum 25%).
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize resources and project timelines.
- Proficient in MicroSoft Office products
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship.
PAY & BENEFITS
- Full-Time
- Salary: $100,000-$120,000
- Medical, Dental, Vision insurance and other voluntary benefit options: benefits beginonthe first day of the month immediately following your date of hire
- Eligible for 3 weeks of paid vacation 11 holidays (9 scheduled & 2 floating) 8 sick days. All vacation days are accrued
- 401(k): 3% company contribution and additional 3% company match
