- An Electrical Technician's duties and responsibilities include the following:
- Build and test operability of electronic systems and components
- Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning circuits, programs, and controls
- Service or calibrate electronic test equipment or electronic control systems
- Use RSLogix 5000 to troubleshoot programs for control logix and compact logix
- Use RSLogix 500 to troubleshoot programs for Micro Logix, SLC 504 "s and SLC 505's
- Use RSLogix 5 to troubleshoot programs for PLC 5's
- Troubleshoot and install sensors, switches, light curtains, guidance systems INPUT/ OUTPUT devices
- Setup and configure Panel Views
- Wire Cabinets
- Set up and configure AB Servo Drives and tuning their motors
- Set up and configure AC drives
- Must be able to perform physical tasks, lifting up to 50 lbs.
- High School Diploma/GED required - Associate's Degree/Technical Certification preferred (electronics/electrical field)
- 2 - 4 years of experience in related field preferred
- Must be able to diagnose and repair electronic equipment and also interpret electrical drawings/schematics and ladder diagrams
- Must be able to work 40 hours per week, plus overtime, with reliable and consistent attendance
- Must have demonstrated understanding of regulatory environments
- Must have good communication skills, with the ability to carry out written and verbal instruction
- Basic reading, math, computer (Microsoft Suite), and measurement skills required
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without sponsorship
