Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing the front desk operations of our dental office. This role requires proficiency in various administrative tasks, including scheduling appointments, handling patient inquiries, and maintaining accurate medical records. A strong understanding of dental terminology and experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems is essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients warmly and manage the check-in and check-out process efficiently.
  • Schedule and confirm appointments using dental practice management software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix.
  • Handle incoming calls on a multi-line phone system, addressing patient inquiries and concerns with professionalism.
  • Verify patient insurance information and assist with insurance claims processing.
  • Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring confidentiality and security of sensitive information.
  • Review documentation for completeness and accuracy before patient visits.
  • Provide clerical support, including filing, typing, and managing correspondence within the office.
  • Collaborate with dental staff to ensure seamless patient care and efficient office operations.
  • Stay updated on dental terminology and clinic procedures to provide informed assistance to patients.

Experience

  • Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a similar medical administrative support role is preferred.
  • Familiarity with EHR systems such as Epic, Meditech, eClinicalWorks, or Athenahealth is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance verification processes, and care plans is essential.
  • Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply to enhance communication with diverse patient populations.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills are crucial for interacting positively with patients.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
