Join Our Team as an Insurance Agency Account Specialist at Gate City Bank!

Responsible for client retention and satisfaction by assisting clients in their daily insurance transactions and annual policy renewals. Responsible for assisting Insurance Advisors with insurance proposals for current and prospective customers. This position will assist in growing the reputation of Gate City Insurance Agency with excellent customer service.

SCHEDULE:

8-5 M-F, on-site for initial training period. May move to a hybrid schedule (3 days in office) after training is completed.

Job Responsibilities:

• Must be detail-oriented; provide excellent service by processing changes maintaining a high degree of accuracy and timely manner.

• Able to answer service questions including, but not limited to, coverages, billing, renewal offers, endorsements, cancellations, and claims regarding personal and commercial insurance.

• Maintain all licenses and registrations in good standing and complete all necessary continuing education requirements.

• Develop insurance renewal proposals in an accurate and efficient manner for customer.

• Maintain a good working relationship with team members of Gate City Insurance Agency (the Agency).

• Maintain a good working relationship with personnel from the insurance carriers. Such insurance carrier personnel include but not be limited to individuals in underwriting, claims, and billing departments.

• Maintain communication with customers via phone, including responding promptly to account inquiries, answering insurance related questions, and proactively reaching out regarding time sensitive account matters for personal and commercial insurance.

• Assist with the coordination of training events and marketing items as needed.

• Exhibit 'Brilliant at the Basics' customer service skills and the ability to develop and maintain productive relationships with colleagues, management, and clients.

• In order to provide expected levels of service to Gate City Insurance customers, co-workers, and vendors, prompt and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position.

• Must comply with all Gate City Bank policies, procedures, applicable laws, and regulations.

• Understand the coverage differences for each insurance carrier regarding personal and commercial insurance to prepare the optimal insurance proposal for the Insurance Advisor to present to the customer.

• Provide a "Wow" customer service experience for team members and customers.

• Develop and maintain productive relationships with team members, leaders, customers, and vendors.

• Prompt and reliable attendance is essential in order to provide expected levels of service.

• Must comply with all Gate City Bank policies, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations.

• Must be detailed-oriented and maintain high degree of accuracy.

• Ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma or Equivalent required, Associate Degree preferred; 2 years of previous insurance experience and/or related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

CERTIFICATIONS:

Applicable insurance licenses are required or ability to obtain within 60 days of employment if not active at time of hire. Separation of employment occurs resulting from a total of three failed testing exams.
