Medical Scribe - Gastroenterology

Gastroenterology Practice Associates is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Medical Scribe to work alongside one of our Gastroenterologist, in our Arlington, TX practice.

This is a great opportunity for a medical student, PA student, NP student, or nursing student who is interested in gaining valuable clinical experience while working directly with a Gastroenterologist.

The ideal candidate will have previous medical scribing experience, with Gastroenterology and eClinicalWorks (eCW) experience strongly preferred. The successful candidate must be comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment and be able to accurately document patient encounters while maintaining strict patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately document patient encounters in eClinicalWorks (eCW)
• Complete pre-charting and prepare patient charts prior to visits
• Document the patient's history, assessment, and plan as directed by the physician
• Enter accurate and timely clinical information into the EMR
• Assist with reviewing charts and preparing patient information
• Work closely with Dr. Zafar to support an efficient patient flow
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow HIPAA and patient confidentiality requirements

Qualifications:

• Previous medical scribing experience preferred
• eClinicalWorks (eCW) experience strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and stay organized
• Dependable and able to consistently work the required schedule
• Medical students, PA students, NP students, and nursing students are encouraged to apply

Schedule:

• Monday–Wednesday: 1:00 PM–5:00 PM
• Thursday: 9:00 AM–3:30 PM
• Approximately 19–20 hours per week

Compensation: $15.00 per hour
