Job Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Front Desk Receptionist to create a welcoming environment for patients while delivering key administrative support. This role requires strong multitasking abilities, proficiency in medical office systems, and a good understanding of medical terminology, particularly with Medicare. Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors with professionalism and courtesy, ensuring a positive first impression
- Assist with patient check-in and check-out processes, appointment scheduling, and maintaining the clinic's calendar
- Answer and direct calls using a multi-line phone system, scheduling appointments and addressing inquiries promptly
- Collect and verify patient information, including insurance details, and process necessary documentation
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with privacy regulations
- Coordinate with physicians, nursing staff, and other office personnel to support smooth operations within the clinic
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience in a medical office or healthcare setting is preferred
- Familiarity with EMR systems
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Proficient in using computers for data entry and record management
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining a professional, empathetic attitude
