What are the responsibilities and job description for the LPN CMA RMA Office Nurse Kingsport and/or Bristol Location position at Gastroenterology Associates?
Gastroenterology Associates of Kingsport is looking for a full time clinical nurse. Duties and qualifications include but are not limited to:
- Room patients in a timely manner.
- Obtain and document vital signs, height, weight, pain level, allergies, medications, and medical history.
- Assess patient concerns and communicate pertinent findings to the provider.
- Prepare patients for examination and assist providers during procedures as needed.
- Perform nursing assessments within scope of practice.
- Provide patient education regarding diagnoses, medications, procedures, and treatment plans.
- Answer patient questions and reinforce provider instructions.
- Monitor patients for adverse reactions or changes in condition.
- Possess medical terminology knowledge
- Experience working with an EHR/EMR
- Have 1-2 years of medical office experience
- Detail oriented
- Excellent communication skills
The ideal candidate will possess a heart for patient care, respect for co-workers and a desire to excel. Recent medical office experience required…GI experience preferred.
