Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Appointment Scheduler to join our healthcare team. Duties
- Manage patient appointment scheduling through various communication channels, including phone calls and electronic systems.
- Confirm upcoming appointments with patients and reschedule as necessary to optimize clinic flow.
- Utilize EMR software and scheduling tools to accurately record patient information and appointment details.
- Coordinate with medical staff to ensure availability and proper allocation of resources for scheduled procedures.
- Provide courteous assistance to patients, addressing inquiries related to appointment times, procedures, or follow-up care.
- Maintain organized records of scheduled appointments, cancellations, and rescheduling activities for reporting purposes.
- Support the clinic’s operational efficiency by adhering to scheduling protocols and proactively managing appointment conflicts.
Skills
- Strong proficiency in EMR software, scheduling systems, and sales technology adoption tools such as Salesforce.
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to convey information clearly and empathetically over the phone.
- Demonstrated experience in outbound calling within a healthcare or customer service setting.
- Ability to negotiate appointment times effectively while maintaining positive relationships with patients and staff.
- Experience with collection of insurance and co-pays.
- Proven organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple schedules efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
