Gastro Center of Maryland has an opening for a Full-Time Patient Care Coordinator. Must have experience in a fast-paced medical environment. Must have exceptional customer service skills, excellent communication skills to schedule appointments, attention to detail and possess a good work ethic. The PCC is responsible for increasing customer satisfaction and retention by providing patients and providers with accurate, consistent, timely and meaningful information.
Clinic is open from 7:30am-4:30 pm EST Monday - Friday. Candidates need to available for in-person work. This will be a full-time, 40 Hour Work Week position.
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Care Coordinator to join our team. The PCC will be responsible for providing administrative support in our medical office setting. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and the ability to multitask.
- Greets and check-ins patients, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments, coordinating with healthcare providers
- Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries in a professional and courteous manner
- Demonstrate respect, sensitivity and understanding for the caller’s circumstance while maintaining professionalism at all times.
- Maintain patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
- Process insurance claims and verify patient insurance coverage
- Assist with billing and payment collection
- Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers as needed
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient operations
- Experience
- Previous experience in a medical office setting preferred
- Experience working with EHR’s
- Customer focused team player with a passion for helping people.
- Strong PC proficiency with a willingness to learn new applications.
- Detail-oriented, fast learner with excellent communication skills.
- Maintain confidentiality of personal health information (PHI)
- One (1) year of experience working in a healthcare setting preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
