Job Summary
The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is an integral member of the AZ Gastro Care outpatient clinical team, working collaboratively and autonomously in partnership with the supervising physician. The APP independently evaluates, diagnoses, and manages patients in the clinic setting, supporting preventive care, chronic disease management, and treatment planning across a broad range of gastrointestinal conditions.
This role requires strong clinical judgment, a foundation in evidence-based practice, and effective communication skills. The APP provides high-quality, patient-centered care through thorough assessments, appropriate treatment and follow-up, and timely, compliant documentation, contributing to a safe, supportive, and efficient outpatient care environment.
Qualifications:- Master’s degree
- National Board Certification required
- BLS certification required
- Experience with GI or pain treatment preferred
- Proficiency in MS Excel, electronic health systems and databases, such as EPIC, required
- Knowledge of GCP, federal, state, and local regulations, including HIPAA policies and procedures.
Physical Requirements:
- Continually moves around a medical center/healthcare environment 90% of the time.
- Consistently grasps, moves or assembles small objects.
- Make quick, precise adjustments and manipulate machines and controls.
- Consistently uses computers and relays information verbally and through email, messages and phone.
- Frequently communicates with others and exchanges information on an on-going basis.
- Must be able to lift/move up to 50 lbs.
Salary : $115,000 - $120,000
