Gaston Country Club, located 20 miles west of Charlotte, is a private member-owned club with approximately 650 members. Established in 1919, GCC is unique among private clubs in the county as it provides casual and upscale dining; private banquet rooms; an Ellis Maples designed golf course rated in the top 50 in North Carolina; a tennis complex featuring 6 Har-Tru courts and 4 hard courts; and an outdoor pool facility featuring double loop slide, kiddie pool area and full-service grill. Job Summary:
The ideal candidate will be a dynamic individual that presents a friendly and professional demeanor while possessing the unique ability to interact with a diverse group of people. The position requires the candidate to communicate effectively both verbally and written as well as perform administrative tasks at a high level. The candidate must be self-motivated and maintain high standards and enjoy working within a team environment.
The following items represent some of the primary duties and responsibilities.
- Develop and implement programs and activities designed to attract new members as well as retain existing members
- Serve as an Ambassador for the club with prospective members and guests
- Facilitate the membership application process; conduct new member orientations; and provide leadership to the Membership Committee.
- Maintain confidential membership files; compile monthly reports along with any other membership related information; and compile and analyze membership statistical data
- Design membership marketing materials and promote club activities
- Oversee club communication platforms including the Club newsletter, website, and social media
- Network with members, guests and the community at events to enhance brand awareness
- Perform other related administrative tasks as directed by the General Manager
- Available on weekends, evenings, and holidays, as needed, for various club events
Compensation:
The club is offering an attractive base salary along with incentive bonus compensation that is commensurate with qualifications and experience. The benefits package also includes health, dental, life insurance, meals, vacation, 401(k), and education allowance.
