What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Service Technician - Gasket Guy of Washington position at Gasket Guy of Washington?
Gasket Guy of Washington are the handymen (and handy women!) of the food service industry. We install refrigeration gaskets for restaurants and perform repairs on doors, drawers, walk-in coolers. Our services help reduce costs for restaurant owners and GMs by conserving electricity and preventing expensive equipment from burning out and requiring servicing.
We are hiring for an entry level service technician who will undergo a 3 month on the job paid training to become our next "Gasket Guy" for the greater Seattle area. Your area will cover the regions of King and Snohomish County but from time to time may also go as far out as Bellingham, or to the peninsula to Port Angeles.
What our typical day to day looks like:
- Using a company car, pick up tools and equipment at 6am
- Arrive on-site at 4-6 restaurants throughout the day to install gaskets, perform repairs or perform an estimate. You will be by yourself.
- Communicate with office staff using Discord (team chat software on your phone) and upload pictures of completed work or estimates
- Installation involves removing existing gaskets (rubber seals around refrigerators) and replacing with new gaskets
- Repairs are figuring out why a door / drawer / hinge won't close properly and replacing or fixing the root cause of the issue
- Estimates are identifying ripped or torn gaskets on the client site and writing up which items need to be replaced and the total cost
- 2pm, go home with company provided car.

The Job Requirements?
- Must be friendly and professional with food service staff
- Have a driver's license and clean driving record
- Must be able to lift up to 50lb and be able to maneuver around tight spaces at times

Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour
