Overview

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Salesperson located in Elgin, IL. The Salesperson will be responsible for managing customer accounts, identifying new sales opportunities, and providing excellent customer service. Key responsibilities include product demonstrations, generating leads, and closing sales. Additionally, the Salesperson will maintain product knowledge, ensure inventory is accurately represented to customers, and collaborate with the team to achieve sales goals.

Duties

  • Actively engage with customers to understand their needs and recommend suitable products or services
  • Build relationships with customers
  • Find new customers and grow market
  • Conduct route driving to visit clients, deliver products, and ensure timely service delivery
  • Utilize strong communication skills to upsell additional products or services that meet customer needs
  • Manage pricing strategies effectively to maximize sales opportunities and maintain profitability
  • Perform heavy lifting when handling merchandise, supplies, or equipment during deliveries and restocking
  • Maintain organized routes and schedules to optimize efficiency and customer satisfaction
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring a positive experience
  • Conduct merchandising activities to display products attractively and adhere to brand standards
  • Demonstrate safe driving practices, including commercial driving skills, to ensure safety on the road

Experience

  • Prior experience in sales or customer service is highly desirable
  • Valid driver’s license with experience in route driving; commercial driving certification preferred
  • Ability to perform some heavy lifting and physical tasks regularly throughout the workday
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse customers effectively
  • Knowledge of merchandising techniques and organizational skills for maintaining product displays
  • Familiarity with upselling strategies to enhance sales performance
  • Build relationships
  • Not a must but roofing knowledge, particularly on the commercial end is a bonus

Pay: $60,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
