Painter

Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Painter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming spaces through expert painting techniques, ensuring high-quality finishes on residential, commercial, and renovation projects. Your expertise will contribute to creating visually appealing environments while adhering to safety standards and project specifications. Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, caulking, and applying primer to ensure optimal adhesion and finish quality
• Apply paint, stain, varnish, and other finishes using hand tools, brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless and conventional spray systems), and power tools
• Interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and schematics to accurately execute painting projects according to specifications
• Conduct surface preparation for construction painting including plastering, masonry work, stucco application, and concrete finishing as needed
• Follow safety regulations diligently by utilizing respiratory protection equipment and maintaining a clean work environment to prevent accidents
• Perform restoration and renovation painting tasks on existing structures while ensuring color consistency through visual color comparison techniques
• Assist with fixture installation, trim carpentry, framing, and other handyman tasks that support overall project completion when required

Requirements

• Proven experience in construction painting with a strong understanding of surface preparation and finishing techniques
• Knowledge of construction estimating processes and ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately
• Familiarity with residential and commercial painting practices including industrial spray painting and airless paint spraying methods
• Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, ladders, and welding equipment safely and effectively
• Understanding of safety regulations related to construction sites including proper use of respiratory protection and fall prevention measures
• Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and material estimations
• Experience with schematics, fixture installation, caulking, trim carpentry, stucco application, masonry work, remodeling projects, concrete finishing or plastering is a plus
• Strong attention to detail with excellent visual color comparison skills for achieving precise finishes
• Construction site experience with the ability to read blueprints and interpret schematics confidently
• Valid construction experience or related trade background such as handyman work or maintenance roles

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
