Automotive Service Advisor

Job Duties and Responsibilities of the Automotive Service Advisor

• Ensure customers receive courteous, prompt and effective service to drive loyalty
• Greet and assist customers with inquiries during their visit
• Provide detailed documentation of the customer's concerns - enabling the technician to properly diagnose and service the vehicle
• Consult with the customer regarding recommended maintenance
• Promptly inform customer on completion times, service expenses, and any changes
• Have knowledge of the product to properly answer operational and characteristic questions regarding the customer's vehicle
• Enforce/follow organizational safety standards
• Meet or exceed targeted sales goals & the targeted customer satisfaction index
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications of a Successful Automotive Service Advisor :

• Minimum of 1 years of Automotive Service Advisor experience required
• Excellent customer service skills
• Reynolds & Reynolds experience is strongly preferred
• Background in sales a plus
• High-volume dealership experience preferred
• Must be able to work in all weather conditions, including heat and humidity
• Ability to multitask and take direction well
• Flexible and open to new ideas
• Proficient in using computers and software programs on a daily basis
• Create and maintain a close relationship with each customer
• Ability to contribute as a team-player
• Be a self-starter
• Highly motivated and forward-thinking
• High school diploma or equivalent experience
• Must be able to pass a drug screening and have an acceptable driving record

Schedule Requirements:

• Monday – Friday 7:15 AM – 5:30 PM plus occasional overtime

Automotive Service Advisor Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the Service Advisor is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands and fingers to feel and handle, reach with arms and hands, talk and hear. While performing the duties of this job, the Service Advisor may occasionally be required to stoop, kneel and crouch, lift weight or exert a force up to a maximum of 25 pounds. The Service Advisor must be able to see color and at close and far distances.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
