Role Description This full-time, on-site Case Manager/Experienced Litigation Paralegal role is based in Lexington, KY and focuses on supporting personal injury cases from intake through resolution. Daily responsibilities include managing client files, gathering and organizing medical records and other evidence, and maintaining regular, empathetic communication with clients and their families. The role involves drafting and reviewing legal documents and correspondence, preparing discovery responses, and assisting with deposition, mediation, and trial preparation. The Case Manager/Paralegal will coordinate with attorneys, experts, medical providers, and insurers to ensure timely case progress and compliance with court deadlines. The position requires strong case management, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, client-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Strong case management skills, including organizing files, tracking deadlines, and managing multiple active matters.
• Experience as a litigation paralegal, preferably in personal injury or wrongful death, including discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.
• Proficiency in legal document drafting and review, including correspondence, pleadings, and discovery responses.
• Effective client communication skills, with the ability to interact with individuals experiencing trauma or loss in a professional and compassionate manner.
• Solid research and investigative skills, including gathering medical records, police reports, and other evidentiary materials.
• Comfort with legal case management software, Microsoft Office, and general office technology.
• Ability to collaborate closely with attorneys and support staff, exercising sound judgment and maintaining confidentiality.
• Attention to detail, strong organizational abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Prior law firm experience required; experience in plaintiff personal injury practice is highly preferred.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree and/or paralegal certification preferred, or equivalent combination of relevant experience.
