Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Scribe/Assistant to join our busy Ophthalmology practice. The ideal candidate must possess excellent communication skills, have a willingness to learn, and have the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Work directly with the doctors in patient examinations and procedures and input information into our EHR accordingly.
- Collect and record ophthalmic history.
- Perform testing with lensometer, glare tester, OCT, Visual Field and IOL Master.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of exam rooms and medical equipment.
- Ensure compliance with health regulations and policies.
- Travel to our satellite clinic 1-2 times per month.
- Assist with minor surgeries. Knowledge of sterile technique is desired but not required.
Experience
- Past experience is preferred but we are willing to train the right person.
- Medical terminology is a plus.
