Automotive Service Advisor
Garvey Hyundai of Plattsburgh is expanding, and we’re looking for an experienced, motivated Service Advisor to join our high-performing, customer-focused service department. Position Overview:
As a Service Advisor, you will serve as the primary point of contact between our customers and service technicians. You will be responsible for building relationships, recommending services, and ensuring a smooth and efficient service experience from check-in to vehicle delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers promptly and professionally
- Accurately document vehicle concerns and service needs
- Recommend maintenance and repair services based on vehicle condition
- Prepare estimates and explain services clearly and confidently
- Communicate effectively with technicians and parts department
- Keep customers informed throughout the repair process
- Ensure timely follow-up and high levels of customer satisfaction
- Handle warranty and service documentation accurately
Requirements:
- 1–3 years of automotive service experience (dealership experience preferred)
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask under pressure
- Proficiency with Windows PC and Microsoft Office
- Valid driver’s license (must be able to drive a manual transmission)
- Reliable transportation
- Available references
- Positive work ethic and team-player mindset
- Monday - Friday schedule, 40 hours a week
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior Service Advisor/Writer experience
- Strong technical and computer skills
