What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sustainability Project Manager position at Garver?
- Develop and implement strategies for sustainable design, operations, and best management practices
- Manage various sustainable and healthy building projects for Federal and private sector clients
- Collaborate and coordinate with cross-disciplinary teams, including architects, engineers, contractors, and other project stakeholders to maximize opportunities for implementing sustainable design and construction best practices for each project
- Schedule and coordinate action items in alignment with sustainability project deliverables, while maintaining project budget and schedule
- Lead sustainability charrettes and project meetings; participate in design review conferences
- Develop and organize high-quality documentation and sustainability action plans in alignment with standard or rating system requirements
- Review project documents, such as drawings, specifications, basis of design, construction submittals, etc., for compliance with project goals
- Conduct research and technical analysis to support project teams and evolving sustainability metrics
- Collaborate with different Garver business lines and regional offices on sustainable solutions and potential for growth
- Develop and maintain client relationships within current markets and expand to new markets
- Contribute project- and industry-related information for use in communications posts, marketing, and internal education materials
- Embrace and promote sustainability company-wide as an integral part of Garver
- Contribute feedback and create tools for increased efficiencies and project process improvement
- Additional responsibilities to be defined based on individual's interests, skills, and sustainability expertise

- Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability, Architectural/ Engineering/ Construction, Building Sciences, Environmental Sciences or combination of school and work experience in related fields
- 2-5 Years of professional experience
- Familiarity with sustainable and healthy building frameworks (LEED, Federal HPSB Guiding Principles, Green Globes, WELL, Fitwel, etc.)
- Understanding of high-performance buildings and sustainable building strategies
- Knowledge of the AEC industry and standards associated with sustainability and energy performance
- Project management experience
- LEED AP accreditation (LEED BD C, ID C, or O M)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and independently driven
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite
- Fitwel Ambassador accreditation and project experience encouraged but not required
- WELL AP and project experience encouraged but not required
- Familiarity with Revit and AutoCAD
- Familiarity with Energy Modeling software
