Gartland Foundry of Terre Haute, IN, is seeking a Production Scheduler!
The Production Scheduler duties include planning and managing production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements and best use the company’s production capacity as well as manage inventory levels and on-time delivery of product to the customers. Schedule delivery of customer orders with a focus on meeting customer requirements while providing cost efficiency. Coordinate production priorities across molding, core room, finishing, shipping, purchasing, and customer service to maximize manufacturing capacity while meeting customer delivery requirements.
The Production Scheduler is responsible for ensuring achievement of on-time delivery to customers, timely scheduling of mold and core orders and order maintenance to meet daily operation requirements for the facility. The employee will perform job order entry and acknowledgement to customers and provide customer service correspondence support. The Production Scheduler must possess a thorough understanding of foundry production processes, production planning, and ERP scheduling systems. The employee will maintain accurate ERP data, monitor JIT inventory levels, and coordinate finished goods inventory with the Shipping Supervisor to support customer delivery requirements. Audit ISO Procedures as required.
The Production Scheduler plans and manages production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements and best utilize the company’s production capacity. Analyze customer releases, production capacity, material availability, and inventory levels to develop efficient production schedules that maximize throughput while meeting customer commitments. Manage inventory levels to meet production schedules and schedule delivery of customer orders. The employee will be involved in day-to-day operations, continuous improvement activities and will comply with company rules and regulations and safety rules and regulations. This person will interact daily with manufacturing personnel, purchasing, production, shipping, quality, sales, and customers to coordinate production priorities, resolve scheduling conflicts, and ensure timely customer deliveries.

KNOWLEDGE
· B. S degree in supply chain management and (2-3) year’s previous experience or (2) or more years of post-secondary education and (5) or more years’ experience in production scheduling and planning in a job shop foundry environment.
· Advanced knowledge in the following areas: scheduling, expediting and JIT inventory control , warehousing and inventory control
· A working knowledge of foundry processes
· Experience using ERP/MRP systems to manage customer orders, production schedules, inventory, capacity planning, and manufacturing data.
· Microsoft Office computer applications competencies (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
· Knowledge of production capacity planning, inventory management, and manufacturing performance metrics.
· Knowledge in quality/continuous improvement initiatives
· Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality systems or equivalent.
· Knowledge of safe work practices and OSHA health and safety requirements
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
