Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Contractor Helper to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will assist skilled tradespeople in completing a variety of construction projects, ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality at every stage. This position offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience across multiple facets of construction. We are a fence building company, building fences, decks, pergolas and all things regarding backyard experiences.
Duties
- Support lead contractors and tradespeople by preparing materials, tools, and equipment needed for daily tasks
- Assist with demolition, site cleanup, and material handling to maintain a safe and organized work environment
- Help with the installation of fences
- Operate hand tools and power tools under supervision to perform tasks like cutting, measuring, and assembling
- Aid in the setup and breakdown
- Follow safety protocols diligently to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with OSHA standards
Requirements
- Prior experience working on construction sites or in related trades preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic construction techniques
- Knowledge of construction safety practices and OSHA regulations
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods
- Basic understanding of construction disciplines such as plumbing, electrical work, masonry, or carpentry is advantageous
- Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward learning new skills and tasks
