Team Member/Cashier

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service while handling transactions accurately and efficiently. This position requires someone who is detail-oriented, possesses strong time management skills, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, such as a café, grocery store, or kitchen setting.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide assistance with their purchases.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process transactions accurately.
• Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions while ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the cashier area and throughout the store or café.
• Assist with food preparation as needed, ensuring all items meet quality standards.
• Engage in upselling techniques to enhance customer experience and increase sales.
• Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly and professionally.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.

Skills

• Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Experience in the food industry is preferred but not required; familiarity with food preparation is a plus.
• Proficient in operating POS systems for transaction processing.
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service.
• Ability to maintain high sanitation standards in accordance with health regulations.
• Previous experience in a café or grocery store setting is beneficial.
• Cash handling experience is essential for this role.
