Commercial Lines Account Manager
Position Summary:
The primary function of this role is to provide professional service to new and existing clients in a timely and accurate manner, supporting account retention, facilitating policy servicing and documentation, and identifying revenue growth opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Communication and Policy Servicing
- Serves as the primary point of contact for commercial clients, responding promptly to inquiries regarding policies, endorsements, renewals, audits, certificates of insurance, cancellations, and other servicing needs.
- Builds and maintains strong client relationships by delivering timely, accurate, and professional service.
- Supports client retention efforts by identifying opportunities to round accounts and recommends additional coverage solutions.
- Prepares and presents new business and renewal proposals and coverage summaries.
- Assists with claims reporting and claims-related support when necessary, including coverage during the absence of the agency Claims Coordinator or in response to catastrophic events.
Policy Administration and Accuracy
- Markets new and renewal business with insurance carriers to secure competitive coverage options.
- Verifies that all policies are properly bound with carriers in writing prior to or on the effective date of the policy.
- Reviews new business and renewal policies for accuracy by comparing issued policies against applications, binders, and coverage requests.
- Processes endorsements, audits, cancellations, finance agreements, certificates of insurance, and other policy transactions accurately and within established service standards.
- Maintains complete and accurate client and policy records within the agency management system.
- Invoices renewal policies, collects premium payments and down payments, and prepares premium finance agreements when applicable.
- Contacts insureds as needed for collecting outstanding balances according to procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Active Texas General Lines Property and Casualty License required
- Previous experience as a Commercial Lines Account Manager with responsibilities aligned to commercial policy servicing, renewals, client relationship management, and account retention
- Knowledge of E&S markets (Excess & Surplus lines) preferred
- Experience with Applied Epic; will consider other agency management systems
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Professional demeanor with a customer-first mindset
- Reliable, dependable, and able to work both independently and collaboratively
- Ability to travel locally on an occasional basis as business needs require
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm
