What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ophthalmic Technician-Surgery center position at Garrett Eye?
We are seeking a technician to join our team. This critical role requires a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for the cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilization of medical instruments, as well as inventory management and aseptic technique. The duties will also include assisting the nurses and doctor with procedures by prepping the patient and paperwork.
**Duties:**
- Clean, disinfect, and sterilize medical instruments, equipment, and devices according to established protocols and guidelines.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections of medical instruments to ensure proper function and prevent damage.
- Utilize aseptic technique to minimize the risk of infection and maintain a sterile environment.
-Two to three days per week depending on the desires of the right candidate. Willing to work around scheduling conflicts as needed. Work days will only fall on Monday-Friday. This position can turn into more hours depending on the motivation of the candidate.
*Prior experience as a surgical Technician preferred but not required. Willing to train the right candidate
