- Experience in cooking, food management, and kitchen operation for a private or public organization
- Clean driving record
- The ability to multi-task, perform repeated bending, standing, and reaching, and occasionally lifting up to 30 pounds and the ability to assist another person in lifting 50 pounds.
- Flexible and adaptable to change
- Prepare meals according to standardized recipes;
- Set up counters, steam tables, serving lines, and assist in serving food;
- Maintain set standards of food portion control;
- Use proper serving techniques;
- Heavy lifting may be required;
- Assist in keeping food preparation areas in a clean and orderly manner;
- Carry out cooking assignments and assist in the preparation of raw vegetables, beverages, simple desserts, salads, and sandwiches;
- Perform other necessary duties as assigned
