Garrett County Lighthouse a division of Archway Station, Inc. is seeking a compassionate, energetic, and dependable individual to join our team as a Human Service Worker I (HSW1) at our Wellness & Recovery Center. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to support adults on their recovery journey through engaging wellness activities, meaningful interactions, and person-centered support.

What You'll Do
As a Human Service Worker, you will:
- Facilitate wellness, recovery, and therapeutic group activities.
- Build positive, professional relationships with individuals receiving services.
- Encourage participation in social, recreational, educational, and recovery-focused activities.
- Help individuals develop coping skills, leadership abilities, social connections, and interpersonal skills.
- Welcome and orient new participants to the Wellness & Recovery Center.
- Assist with planning and implementing monthly activity schedules and newsletters.
- Provide supportive supervision and ensure a safe, welcoming environment.
- Document services and interventions using Electronic Health Records (EHR).
- Assist with crisis prevention and intervention when needed.
- Communicate effectively with team members and treatment providers.
- Help maintain compliance with agency, HIPAA, CARF, COMAR, and other regulatory standards.
- Train and mentor new staff and interns as assigned.

Qualifications
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Good written documentation skills
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to pass required background screenings
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position
Preferred:
- Experience in human services, behavioral health, social services, recreation, peer support, or related fields
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel

Full-Time available, Monday to Friday / 7am to 3pm.
